What part does witchcraft play in events at the old Priory? And what are the strange creatures that materialize from Thea? Only the Doctor realizes their dangerous significance.

That's novel, a change in cliffhanger for the resolution - sort of. Leela is cut into the threat by climbing into the building. The Doctor persuades his legs to move. At the Mummerset home from hell the verge guy is assaulted by Leela who gets his gun. His mate calms things down. Back at Ma Tyler's (the Mummerset woman) house the verge guy wants something that he has paid good money for. Her son says he'll get his money. Huh?

This is dialogue-heavy, like a Hartnell, without the interaction with the cast. A security guard dies having been in the presence of Thea Ransome when she was possessed by the skull. She collapses and the Doctor arrives to tell Adam not to touch her. Thea has weird worm things superimpose on her. Embryo Fendahleen, according to the Doctor, from his own Time Lord mythology.

The Time Lords were interested in an old fifth planet in the Solar System (they had hardly heard of Earth last season!!). Fendelman points a gun at the Doctor. The Doctor is locked up, but the door then mysteriously opens (huh?) This is a famous goof and whole essays have been written about how precisely nobody is around to open this door!

The verge guy has a coven ready and Stael the other scientist is involved. They need twelve or thirteen. This is all about the old humans came from aliens thing…go read Von Daniken, or watch Pyramids of Mars again. The old woman is back stealing the show. She has seen something in her mind! Hungry for her soul. The skull has a pentagram on it now.

“It is interesting is it not,” says Fendelman. “No!” scream the viewers. Leela's back outside attacking guards (Fendelman has brought them for protection). Thea is still getting visions as she looks at the pentagram. The bad scientist Stael drugs Thea. She is the chosen one, according to him.

Ah, the Doctor is back, jelly babies in hand. The Doctor finds the skull and offers it a jelly baby. It glows. He touches it, Baker does his quiet scream thing and the credits roll. What a mess.
